Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 1 pint of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and add cream cheese. Stir constantly until the mixture starts bubbling (do not let it boil).
  • Lower heat and whisk in Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
  • Season the sauce with salt and white pepper, adjusting to taste.
  • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Olive Garden Alfredo!

Notes

  • For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • If you want to add more protein, top with grilled chicken or shrimp.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of cream to bring it back to its creamy consistency.
