Description
This Baked Brie with Honey-Balsamic Cranberry Sauce is the perfect festive appetizer. Creamy, melty Brie is topped with a sweet and tangy cranberry sauce, crunchy pecans, and vibrant pomegranate seeds. It’s as delicious as it is stunning, making it a holiday showstopper in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 round of Brie cheese (about 8 oz)
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- Fresh rosemary (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the Brie cheese on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is soft and slightly melted.
- While the Brie is baking, make the cranberry sauce: In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Once baked, carefully transfer the Brie to a serving dish. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the Brie, letting it drip down the sides.
- Sprinkle with chopped pecans and pomegranate seeds. Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired.
- Serve warm with crackers, baguette slices, or fresh fruit.
Notes
- Brie should be at room temperature before baking for the best melt.
- You can prepare the cranberry sauce ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat slightly before using.
- Frozen cranberries can be used if fresh ones are unavailable.
