Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for desired consistency)
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- In a small bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed banana, egg, melted butter, and the yeast mixture. Stir until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (optional) until well combined.
- Roll and Fill:
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle (about 16×12 inches). Spread the filling evenly, leaving a small border.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 even rolls.
- Bake the Rolls:
- Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch pan. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze:
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency.
