Description

These Caramel Apple Bars are a cozy fall dessert layered with spiced apples, buttery oat crumble, and a drizzle of caramel. Easy, flavorful, and perfect for autumn gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large apples, peeled and diced
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and baking soda. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  • Press half the mixture into the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • Layer diced apples on top of the crust and drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the apples.
  • Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apples.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a tangier flavor, use Granny Smith apples.
  • You can add chopped nuts, like pecans or walnuts, to the crumble for added crunch.
  • Store at room temperature for up to 2 days, refrigerate for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
