Description

Sweet and salty perfection! These Chocolate Covered Pretzels are easy to make, endlessly customizable, and perfect for gifting, parties, or snacking. Coat pretzel twists or rods in creamy chocolate, add sprinkles, and watch them disappear at every gathering!


Ingredients

  • 50 miniature pretzel twists or 24 pretzel rods
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips or candy melts (milk, white, dark, or a mix)
  • 1 tablespoon shortening (only if using chocolate chips)
  • ½ cup sprinkles (any type you love)


Instructions

  • Place chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Add shortening if using chocolate chips.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and melted.
  • For pretzel rods, pour chocolate into a tall glass, dip each rod halfway, tap off excess, and coat with sprinkles.
  • For pretzel twists, coat each pretzel in chocolate using a fork, tap the fork on the bowl’s edge to remove extra chocolate, and use a toothpick to slide the pretzel onto parchment paper. Sprinkle immediately.
  • Let pretzels set completely at room temperature before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Swap sprinkles for crushed nuts, mini candies, or coconut for variety.
  • Candy melts are easier to use than chocolate chips as they don’t need shortening.
