Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, and mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until combined.
- Divide batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
- Beat butter for frosting, gradually adding powdered sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and adjust with cream for consistency.
- Divide frosting into three bowls; color one green, one pink, and leave one white.
- Spread frosting between cake layers, apply a crumb coat, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Decorate with frosting trees, sprinkles, and edible stars. Enjoy!
