- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups (248g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Christmas M&Ms or your favorite colors
- ½ cup Christmas sprinkles (jimmies recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch metal pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Mix butter and brown sugar together until crumbly using a hand or stand mixer.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in salt, baking powder, and flour until just combined.
- Fold in M&Ms and sprinkles, reserving a small portion for topping.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan using greased hands to smooth it out. Top with reserved M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes or until edges are golden and the center looks slightly underdone.
- Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Use a metal pan for even heat distribution. Glass pans may result in uneven baking.
- Err on the side of underbaking for soft, chewy bars.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to a month.
- Substitute M&Ms and sprinkles with different colors to match other holidays or occasions.
