Description

Christmas Crispy Parmesan Potato Stacks are a visually stunning and flavorful holiday side dish. Layers of thinly sliced potatoes are seasoned with Parmesan, garlic, and thyme, baked to crispy perfection. The tender centers melt in your mouth, while the crispy edges provide the perfect crunch. These stacks are easy to make and will steal the show at your festive table!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Thinly slice potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with melted butter, Parmesan, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Layer the potato slices into the muffin tin, pressing them down gently to form small stacks. If using mozzarella, sprinkle it on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the stacks are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, sprinkle a little more Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • You can prepare the stacks ahead of time and bake them just before serving.
  • Substitute rosemary or parsley for thyme for a different herbal flavor.
