- 1 1/2 cups apple, peeled and chopped (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
