- Pink food coloring

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Fold in the cotton candy bits and a few drops of pink food coloring to achieve a light pink hue.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Top each cookie with a piece of cotton candy before serving, if desired
