Description

If you’re looking for a fun, colorful, and delicious homemade ice cream that’s perfect for kids and adults alike, this Cotton Candy Ice Cream is the answer! Made with just a few simple ingredients—heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and cotton candy flavoring—this no-churn ice cream is creamy, dreamy, and packed with whimsical flavor. Plus, it’s easy to make and doesn’t require an ice cream maker. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Pink and blue gel food coloring
  • Rainbow sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Whip the Cream

  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

2. Make the Base

  • In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring until well blended.

3. Combine the Mixtures

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture until smooth and combined.

4. Add Color

  • Divide the mixture into two bowls.
  • Tint one bowl pink and the other blue using a drop or two of gel food coloring.

5. Layer & Swirl

  • Alternate spoonfuls of the pink and blue mixtures into a loaf pan.
  • Use a butter knife to gently swirl the colors together for a marbled effect.

6. Add Sprinkles

  • Top the ice cream with rainbow sprinkles (if using).

7. Freeze

  • Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until firm.

8. Serve & Enjoy

  • Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
  • Serve in cones or bowls with extra sprinkles for fun!

Notes

  • Use Gel Food Coloring: It provides vibrant colors without thinning the mixture.
  • Add Mix-Ins: Stir in crushed cookies, mini marshmallows, or candy pieces before freezing.
  • Make It Ahead: This ice cream can be made up to 1 week in advance and stored in the freezer.
  • Serve with Toppings: Add whipped cream, caramel sauce, or chocolate syrup for extra indulgence.
