A vibrant and delicious appetizer that’s perfect for the holiday season! These Cranberry Apple Brie Crostini are a delightful blend of creamy, tangy, and sweet flavors, served on a crispy toasted baguette. Ready in just 25 minutes, they’re an elegant and easy-to-make dish that will wow your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces or wedges
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the Crostini:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush each slice with olive oil.
    • Toast for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  2. Prepare the Cranberry Topping:
    • Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add cranberries and cook for 3-4 minutes, until they soften and burst.
    • Stir in honey or maple syrup and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture becomes slightly syrupy. Remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Crostini:
    • Remove the baguette slices from the oven. Place a piece of Brie on each crostini.
    • Return to the oven for 3-4 minutes, or until the Brie is just starting to melt.
  4. Add Toppings:
    • Top each crostini with apple slices and a spoonful of the cranberry mixture.
    • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary, if desired. Serve immediately while the Brie is warm and gooey.

Notes

  • To save time, the cranberry topping can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before using.
  • Experiment with different apples for varying sweetness or tartness levels.
  • These crostini pair beautifully with white or red wines, making them a fantastic addition to holiday parties or gatherings.
