Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) stew meat (beef cut into cubes)
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 oz)
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained (7 oz)
  • 2 cups beef broth (500 ml)
  • 300 g (10 oz) egg noodles (to be cooked separately)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients
    • Cut the beef into equal-sized cubes.
    • Drain the mushrooms and set aside.
  • Assemble in the Crockpot
    • Add the beef cubes to the crockpot.
    • Sprinkle the Lipton onion soup mix and brown gravy mix over the beef.
    • Add the cream of mushroom soup and drained mushrooms.
    • Pour in the beef broth.
    • Cook
      • Cover and set the crockpot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender. Stir occasionally for even cooking.
  • Prepare the Noodles
    • About 15 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Serve
    • Serve the tender beef tips and gravy over the cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy hot!

Notes

  • If the gravy is too thick, you can add more beef broth towards the end of cooking.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute the gravy mix, soup, and noodles with gluten-free alternatives.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months (without noodles).
