Description
A comforting, cheesy, and hearty deep dish pizza pie made with Pillsbury™ French Bread dough, seasoned beef, and plenty of melty cheese—perfect for family dinners or weeknight meals.

- 1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce
- 1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
- 2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)
- 1 package (3 oz) pepperoni slices
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- Extra pizza sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
- In a 10-inch skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is soft; drain fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce and set aside.
- Unroll bread dough into the pie plate, pressing into bottom and up sides, leaving overhang.
- Spoon beef mixture into crust, then sprinkle half the cheese over the meat.
- Layer pepperoni slices, then top with remaining cheese.
- Beat egg with water and brush over folded edges of dough to seal and shine.
- Bake for 38 to 48 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Cool for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra pizza sauce if desired.
Notes
Customize with your favorite toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or cooked sausage. Use a pizza cutter for clean slices.
