Ingredients

Scale

For the Mac ‘n’ Cheese:

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Optional Toppings:

  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)

Instructions

  • Cook the macaroni: Boil the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Make the cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, stirring until thickened. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until smooth. Mix in cooked macaroni and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the burgers: Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into patties and cook on a grill or skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  • Assemble the wraps: Lay a flour tortilla flat, place a burger patty in the center, add a generous scoop of mac ‘n’ cheese, and any optional toppings. Wrap tightly, folding in the sides.
  • Serve: Slice the wraps in half and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make it your own: Feel free to swap out ground beef for turkey or a veggie burger, and add your favorite toppings like crispy bacon or jalapeños.
  • Reheating: For leftovers, reheat the wrap in the microwave or lightly toast in a skillet for extra crispiness.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
