Description

This Christmas Funfetti Bread is a cheerful, festive loaf bursting with colorful sprinkles and a soft, fluffy texture. Perfect for holiday gifting, brunch spreads, or a fun breakfast treat, this easy recipe is as delightful to make as it is to eat. Every slice spreads holiday cheer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Top with extra sprinkles.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!

Notes

  • For the best sprinkle effect, use “jimmies” (long, rod-like sprinkles) as they tend not to bleed colors into the batter.
  • This bread can be frozen in slices for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
