Description

Halloween will be even more fun when the kids make their own spooky mummy pizzas! These mini pizzas are easy to customize, super quick to whip up, and deliciously fun to eat. With just a few ingredients and 20 minutes, you’ll have a festive treat perfect for Halloween parties or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sandwich rolls, cut in half
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 3 pieces string cheese, pulled apart into strips
  • 8 candy eyes (or use olives for a savory alternative)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place sandwich roll halves face up on a baking sheet. Brush each with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over the bread, then bake for 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  • While the bread is toasting, pull apart the string cheese into thin strips.
  • Remove bread from the oven and spread marinara sauce over each half.
  • Top each pizza with three slices of pepperoni, then arrange the string cheese strips to resemble mummy bandages.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • Add candy eyes (or olive slices) on top, then serve and enjoy your spooky mummy pizzas!

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, skip the pepperoni and add your favorite veggies like mushrooms or bell peppers.
  • Candy eyes can be swapped out for olive slices for a savory option.
  • If you don’t have string cheese, shredded mozzarella works just as well.
  • These pizzas are best served fresh, but you can refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven.
