Description
This Holiday Eggnog Pie is a festive treat that embodies the warm and cozy flavors of the season. It’s creamy, rich, and incredibly easy to make, making it the perfect dessert for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups eggnog
- 3 large beaten eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep-dish pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine white sugar and all-purpose flour. Stir until well blended.
- Gradually add eggnog, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
- Place the unbaked deep-dish pie crust in a pie dish.
- Pour the eggnog mixture into the pie crust, filling it to just below the edge.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pie is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before serving. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- To prevent over-browning, cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil if they start to brown too quickly.
- The pie should have a slight jiggle in the center when done. It will firm up as it cools.
- For best results, refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before slicing.
