Instructions
- Prepare the Cheese: Cut the block of mozzarella into 1-inch cubes. Place the cubes on a tray and freeze for 30 minutes to help maintain shape during frying.
- Set Up Breading Station:
- Bowl 1: Add flour.
- Bowl 2: Whisk the eggs.
- Bowl 3: Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Bread the Cheese: Dredge each frozen cheese cube in flour, shake off the excess, dip in egg, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps for a double coat.
- Fry the Cheese Bites: Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F. Fry the cheese bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
