Description

This homemade electrolyte drink, Nature’s Gatorade, is a delicious blend of tropical coconut water, zesty citrus, and juicy pineapple. It’s the perfect natural alternative to sugary sports drinks, packed with hydration, electrolytes, and refreshing flavors! Enjoy it post-workout, as a mid-day refresher, or even as a mocktail for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 3 oranges (juiced)
  • 8 oz coconut water (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 pineapple (peeled, cored, and diced)

Instructions

  • Prep the Ingredients: Peel and core the pineapple, then dice it into chunks. Juice the lime and oranges using a juicer or citrus reamer.
  • Blend: Add the pineapple chunks, orange juice, lime juice, coconut water, and sea salt to a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  • Optional Strain: If you prefer a smoother texture, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any pulp.
  • Serve: Pour over ice, garnish with a slice of lime or orange if desired, and enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
  • To make a fizzy version, replace half the coconut water with sparkling water.
  • Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Shake or stir before drinking.
  • Ripe pineapple and oranges yield the best flavor!
