Description

Get ready to elevate your Halloween taco night with this Puking Pumpkin Taco Board! Featuring three small pumpkins “puking” salsa, guacamole, and sour cream, this spooky taco spread is sure to be the hit of any party or family dinner. It’s easy to assemble, customizable with your favorite taco fillings, and a whole lot of fun for both kids and adults!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 small pumpkins (sugar or pie pumpkins)
  • Thick and chunky salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Sour cream
  • Taco shells (hard or soft)
  • Taco fillings of your choice (seasoned meat, beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, etc.)

Instructions

  • Carve the pumpkins: Hollow out three small pumpkins, then carve a “vomit” face on each one. Make sure the mouth is low on the pumpkin to allow the salsa, guacamole, and sour cream to spill out easily.
  • Arrange the toppings: Place the carved pumpkins on a large serving board. Fill each pumpkin with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream, making sure the toppings flow out of their mouths.
  • Assemble the taco board: Arrange pre-assembled tacos around the pumpkins, or set up a taco bar with all your favorite fillings in separate bowls so guests can build their own tacos.
  • Serve and enjoy: Let your guests have fun adding the “puke” toppings from the pumpkins to their tacos and enjoy a delicious, spooky meal!

Notes

  • Carve the pumpkins a day ahead to save time on the day of your event.
  • For the best “puke” effect, use thick salsa and smooth guacamole.
  • This concept also works great with nachos, chips, or a veggie dip board.
  • Adjust the quantity of toppings and tacos based on how many people you’re serving.
