Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (1012 slices), cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  2. Cut the loaf of bread into cubes and place them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the bread cubes, pressing gently to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  5. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
  7. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.
