For the Bread:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  6. Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top. Pour the remaining batter over it and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter for extra texture.
