Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  • Add the pumpkin puree and eggs to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  • For the topping, mix the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture over the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and enjoy your Pumpkin Streusel Bread!
