Description

This Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake is a luscious, no-bake dessert layered with fluffy angel food cake, creamy vanilla pudding, and sweet, juicy strawberries. It’s light, fruity, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or any time you need a dessert that looks stunning but takes minimal effort. The best part? The fridge does most of the work for you, so it’s ready to go whenever you are!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 angel food cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into cubes
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups cold milk
  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until it thickens. Gently fold in the whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
  • Layer the Cake: Spread half of the cubed angel food cake in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
  • Make the Strawberry Mixture: In another bowl, mix the strawberry pie filling, fresh sliced strawberries, and lemon juice. Spoon half of this mixture over the cake layer.
  • Add Pudding Layer: Spread half of the pudding mixture over the strawberry layer.
  • Repeat the Layers: Add the remaining cake cubes on top, followed by the rest of the strawberry mixture.
  • Finish with Pudding: Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the top. Optionally, sprinkle some more fresh strawberry slices on top for added color and flavor.
  • Chill: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld together.
  • Serve: Slice and serve chilled for a dessert that’s light, fruity, and completely irresistible!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, substitute strawberry pie filling with blueberry or peach for a twist on this heavenly dessert!
  • This cake is best when allowed to chill overnight, making it a perfect make-ahead dessert.
  • If you’re feeling adventurous, swap the vanilla pudding for chocolate to create a strawberry-chocolate heaven!
