- 2 tablespoons water (additional for cornstarch)
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust based on heat preference)

Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine pineapple, 1/2 cup water, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
- Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes or until the pineapple is tender.
- In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water and stir into the simmering sauce.
- Add chili flakes and salt. Simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
