Description

Turkey and Pumpkin Meatballs for Dogs are a nutritious, easy-to-make treat packed with lean protein and fiber. This recipe uses simple, dog-friendly ingredients like ground turkey and pumpkin, making it the perfect homemade snack for your pup. Whether you’re training or just showing your furry friend some love, these meatballs will have tails wagging! Healthy, delicious, and easy to whip up—what more could your pup want?

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (unsweetened, no spices)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oat flour (or coconut flour for grain-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, pumpkin, egg, oat flour, and flaxseed meal. If using turmeric, add it now. Mix well.
  3. Use a spoon or small cookie scoop to form 1-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked and slightly golden.
  5. Let the meatballs cool completely before serving to your dog.
  6. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.

Notes

  • These meatballs freeze wonderfully! Make a big batch and freeze extras for later.
  • You can use ground chicken or lean beef instead of turkey.
  • Add grated carrots or sweet potato for extra nutrition!
  • Always use plain pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling.
