Description

This Turkey & Brown Rice Kibble for Dogs is a simple, nutritious homemade recipe featuring lean protein, whole grains, and healthy vegetables. A perfect meal to keep your furry friend energized and happy!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Steam or boil the diced carrots and peas until soft. Frozen peas can be used without cooking.
  3. Cook 1 cup of brown rice as per package instructions and let it cool.
  4. Combine the cooked turkey, brown rice, peas, carrots, parsley, and olive oil in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool completely before serving. Portion accordingly for your dog’s size and refrigerate or freeze leftovers.

Notes

  • Substitute brown rice with quinoa or barley for variety.
  • You can also use ground chicken or lean beef in place of turkey.
  • Make sure the mixture is fully cooled before serving to avoid burns.
