Ingredients in Southern Peach CobblerWhite Scribbled UnderlineFlour Salt Shortening Water Fresh Peaches White and Brown Sugar Lemon Juice Coconut Oil Vanilla Extract Cinnamon Nutme
1Pulse the chilled shortening with the flour, sugar, and salt.
2Until it's coarsely crumbled.
3Add water to the food processor while it's running to form the dough.
4Peel and slice fresh peaches.
5Place the sliced peaches in a bowl with white and brown sugar and lemon juice. Let sit to dissolve and form a syrup.
6Add vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, melted coconut oil, flour and salt.
7Transfer the peaches to a baking dish.
8Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8th inch thick. Slice into even pieces.
9Place the strips of dough to form a lattice crust on top of the peaches.
