Strawberry Poke Cake:The Perfect Dessert

What you need:yellow or white cake mixstrawberry jello mixCool Whipfresh strawberriesgranulated sugarlemon juice
1Preheat oven Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2Prepare and bakeGrab a mixing bowl and prepare the yellow/white cake mix as directed on the package.
3Strawberry dessert topping In a medium pan, put the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice together. Cook until you get a thick consistency. Set aside.
4Cool the cakeCheck the cake by poking it with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, its ready. Place on a cooling rack for 15 minutes.
5Dissolve gelatinIn another bowl, pour boiling water on the gelatin mix and stir until all the powder has dissolved.
6Slice strawberriesWash the strawberries thoroughly and slice them vertically. Set aside for garnishing later.
7Poke holesPoke holes in the cake using the handle of wooden spoon in fairly even lines all the way up the cake.
8Pour jello Pour in the jello you made. Make sure to pour evenly to cover every hole you made. Let it cool.
9Spread strawberry toppingSpread the strawberry dessert topping evenly over the cake. Then, let it cool for a bit longer.
10Spread whipped creamOnce everything is cool, top the cake with cool whipped cream.
11Add sliced strawberriesLay down the sliced strawberries around the cake. Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours
12ServeSlice up your cake with jello and serve chilled. Enjoy.
