Creamy Cajun Steak Alfredo combines perfectly seared Cajun-seasoned steak with rich, velvety Alfredo sauce and pasta. This bold, comforting dish is ideal for date nights or special dinners, delivering a flavorful experience in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or more for extra spice)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta, cooked and drained
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Steak:
    • Rub the steak with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust for your desired doneness.
    • Remove the steak, let it rest for 5 minutes, and slice thinly.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
    • Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    • Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
  • Assemble the Dish:
    • Plate the creamy pasta and top with sliced steak. Garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve:
    • Enjoy immediately with garlic bread and a crisp salad.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken or shrimp for the steak for a lighter twist.
  • Add extra Cajun seasoning or cayenne for a spicier kick.
  • For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
