- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère)
- 4 cups cooked pasta (egg noodles or penne)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and caramelize for 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate skillet, cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Combine the cooked beef, caramelized onions, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, and pasta in a large bowl.
- Transfer mixture to baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
