Description

This Holiday Eggnog Pie is a festive treat that embodies the warm and cozy flavors of the season. It’s creamy, rich, and incredibly easy to make, making it the perfect dessert for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 3 large beaten eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep-dish pie crust

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine white sugar and all-purpose flour. Stir until well blended.
  • Gradually add eggnog, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
  • Place the unbaked deep-dish pie crust in a pie dish.
  • Pour the eggnog mixture into the pie crust, filling it to just below the edge.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pie is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before serving. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • To prevent over-browning, cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil if they start to brown too quickly.
  • The pie should have a slight jiggle in the center when done. It will firm up as it cools.
  • For best results, refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before slicing.
