Description

Peppermint Bark is a classic holiday candy made with layers of smooth dark and white chocolate and topped with a festive peppermint crunch. It’s a quick, easy-to-make treat that’s perfect for holiday gatherings, gifting, or snacking! With only three ingredients and a few minutes of prep, this peppermint bark is a must-have recipe for the Christmas season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 18 ounces dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet/milk chocolate chips)
  • 18 ounces white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips for 45 seconds. Stir, then heat in 10-second intervals until melted.
  • Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the lined baking sheet, spreading it evenly to about ¼-inch thickness.
  • In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips following the same microwave method.
  • Stir in ¼ cup of the crushed peppermint candies into the melted white chocolate.
  • Carefully spread the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint candies on top.
  • Refrigerate the baking sheet for 10 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut or break the bark into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a twist, swap in milk chocolate for a sweeter base layer or add a sprinkle of crushed pretzels for extra texture.
  • Peppermint bark can be stored at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerated for up to two weeks.
