Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjustable to taste)
- Optional: red sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, semisweet and milk chocolate chips, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper. Adjust the cayenne to suit your taste for spice.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Once set, use the parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into squares and garnish with red sprinkles if desired.
Notes
- The key to perfect fudge is slow and low heat to avoid scorching the chocolate.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, start with less cayenne pepper and add to taste.
- This fudge can be made ahead and stored, making your Valentine’s Day preparation stress-free!
