  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (plus more for topping, if desired)
  • 1 cup M&M’s (plus more for topping, if desired)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). In a large bowl, use a mixer to cream together butter and sugars for 1 minute. Add eggs and vanilla, mix until combined.
  2. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s, reserving some for the top.
  4. Line a 9×13″ pan with parchment paper or foil for thick bars, or use a 15×10″ pan for thinner bars. Leave an overhang for easy removal, then spray with non-stick spray.
  5. Scoop cookie dough into the pan and press down evenly. Add extra M&M’s and chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is barely golden brown. Allow to cool completely before removing and slicing.
