Reindeer Chow Ingredients

  • 9 cups of your preferred Chex cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or dark)
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 cups mini pretzels
  • 10 oz Christmas M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chex cereal and 1 cup of mini pretzels.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, blend the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt into the melted mixture.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and pretzels, gently stirring to coat evenly.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal into a large zip-top bag, add in the powdered sugar. Shake well to cover the cereal completely in the powdered sugar.
  6. Pour the mixture into a clean bowl, then stir in the remaining pretzels, M&Ms, and sprinkles.
  7. Spread the mix onto parchment paper and let it set until the chocolate hardens, about 20 minutes.
